About
My name is Smee, I'm 19 years old, I live in Canada and I'm attending university with a major in Psychology and a minor in English.
Style
Level of Experience: Over 9000. I started when I was either 13 or 14 on sites like GaiaOnline, EZboard and I've been pretty much consistently an "RPer" ever since. I discovered LJ when I was 15 and I stayed in my first game for two years; I've been in six official games on IJ and LJ since then and I have been frequenting The Dressing Room on LJ for about three years.
Preferred Platform: I prefer IJ/LJ logs and journals, but I have no issue with AIM or back and forth emailing either.
Style: Threading, third person, present or past tense (present preferred). I don't use any *'s or [[]]'s to describe what my character is doing, but it doesn't bother me too much when someone else does.
RP Type: I want to say I'm 100% character-development/plot-oriented but I would be lying if I said I never think about shipping when I'm creating my characters. A lot of people think I'll grab the first relationship that comes along for my characters but I much prefer developing a bond beforehand and the idea of breaking the characters up if they need something else isn't a forbidden concept in my mind.
Plot Duration: Anything really, Long-Term plot makes me smile forever, though.
Planning: I don't do much planning with other players besides asking if it would be alright for my character to do something or other to theirs. When I get into good relationships with other players we often share character tidbits with each other and that could inspire us into something else, but other than that I don't plan a lot.
Post Length: I'm a believer in quality and not necessarily quantity. I know a lot of players who try their darnedest to keep their log posts up to, whatever, three paragraphs a pop, but I really do feel like a lot of that stuff ends up being meaningless and brings the quality of the prose down. Sometimes I'll write six paragraphs, sometimes I'll write two lines, it really depends on the character, the pace of the thread and what is actually going on.
Point of View: Third person only. And as a note, I find any other POV kind of creepy.
Tense: I prefer present, as I said, because I think it makes more sense. But past works as well.
Warnings
•My friends call me the token narcoleptic because at any time past 1AM I tend to fall asleep on my laptop, but I haven't done that in a while >.<
•My reply time fluctuates like no one's business. Let me put it this way, if you IM me or find some way to let me know you're expecting a tag from me soon, I'll probably get back to you within 10 minutes; otherwise, I check my notifications, see you replies and then get distracted by something else before I can even read it.
Rules/Requirements
•No sexual horror/cannibalism anything. Do not even ask. Murder, rape, drugs, pregnancy etc. is all fair game with me, and I get kick out of swearing like a sailor when the situation calls for it.
•If I get more than one obvious spelling/grammar mistake per post, I start losing confidence in my partner.
